1/72 PZKPFW III AUSF N DAK W/NEO

Item No. D7634

Description

The latest addition of 1/72 Neo Track series is a German Panzer III Ausf.N tank. The actual subject is one operating in the hot climate of North Africa. The Panzer III N appeared in August 1943, and they were commonly issued to Tiger battalions. This is certainly the case with this Dragon kit, which shows a tank from the s.Pz.Abt.501 heavy battalion. The second battalion ever to receive Tiger I tanks, s.Pz.Abt.501 fought in Tunisia from November 1942 till its surrender in May the following year. Receiving Dragon’s exemplary Neo Track treatment, this new 1/72 item features pre-molded lengths of tracks to make life easier for the modeler, as well as individual links that allow appropriate sagging effects. The rendering of battle damage can be readily achieved too. Like its larger 1/35 scale sibling of a Panzer III Ausf.N, this kit utilizes careful research to perfectly capture the look of an s.Pz.Abt.501 vehicle. There are suitable extras such as a turret stowage bin. Decals with markings appropriate to an s.Pz.Abt.501 tank operating in North Africa are included. This excellent kit is ready for a sandy and dusty setting, and it would make a perfect companion for Dragon’s previously released North African Tiger I!
