Description

The Sd.Kfz.252 leichte Gepanzerte Munitionskraftwagen was based on the chassis of the well-known Sd.Kfz.250 family of light halftracks. It was a lightly armoured ammunition carrier that accompanied Sturmartillerie batteries. From June 1940 through to September 1941, a total of 413 Sd.Kfz.252s were built. The sleekly angled halftrack often towed an Sd.Ah.32/1 ammunition trailer that carried an additional 36 rounds of 75mm ammunition. The Sd.Kfz.252 was used on both the Western and Eastern fronts, but its function was eventually taken over by the Sd.Kfz.250/6. Now We are offering an exciting kit of the Sd.Kfz.252 ammo carrier towing an Sd.Ah.32/1 ammo trailer. Despite visual similarities with the Sd.Kfz.250 Alte family, this kit features a great many new parts. An example is the upper hull from the engine hood to the rear angled plate. In this part, hatches can be displayed open or closed depending on the modeler’s wishes, including the rear sliding compartment. Even the headlights have been made anew, and also brand new are the fenders. The vehicle interior has received a loving makeover too, including the floor, dashboard and parts such as the radio. There is a supply of accurately detailed ammo cases as well. Magic Track is also included. The ammo trailer is completely new too, of course, and its doors can be shown open or closed. Such a fascinating vehicle combination will no doubt inspire many creative dioramas
