Description
The Wehrmacht gave special attention to the units' management and their cooperation. For the different levels of Army Corps, special communications vehicles were produced based on the half-track Armoured Personnel Carrier Sd.Kfz.251 due to its cross-country ability, anti-bullet armour and one or two machine guns for self-defence. Depending on the purpose this vehicle was fitted with extra radio equipment FuG 4, FuG 5, FuG 7, FuG 8, FuG 11 and FuG 12 radios in different combinations. Mast, rod and loop antennas were used.
