Neo Fighter Buggy (DT-03)
Description
The 2WD buggy The Frog will be a model familiar to many who joined in the first R/C boom of the 1980s. Now, it serves as the inspiration for this new model, the Neo Fighter Buggy. At home both on- and off-road, this 2WD buggy features a lightweight yet tough monocoque frame that protects vital equipment such as the servo and battery from damage; its long form also offers great stability. Coupled with friction dampers and 4-wheel double wishbone suspension, it means the Neo Fighter Buggy performs well even on difficult off-road surfaces. Such a combination of hassle-free assembly and high-performance, light-on-its-feet handling is sure to recommend this model not only to fans of the past, but also to the next generation of R/C racers!
The DT-03 Chassis
The stylish slim-line form of this chassis stems from its lightweight yet durable monocoque frame, which features a longitudinally-positioned battery and the R/C equipment along the centreline for excellent balance. The combination of a long 287mm wheelbase and 4-wheel double wishbone suspension, married to CVA oil dampers with long arms, allows the model to handle with stability on poor surfaces. Ribbed front and square spike rear tires provide ample grip, and the rear-positioned gearbox is sealed to protect from dust and dirt, with the built-in differential gear offering smooth cornering.
