Toyota and Tamiya UK Collaborate to Produce UK’s First Hydrogen-fuelled Radio Controlled Car

Jonny Smith took a trip to North Wales last week to take a look at specialist rally company Motor Sport Tools (MST) who have just started producing brand new MkII Rally Escorts… in a process where the customer specifies and builds their own rally car….. sound familiar?

Of course it does !... and it was a similarity not lost Jonny in the latest episode of his online show; The Late Brake Show.
In the opening sequences of the show, Jonny positioned the new Tamiya Ford Escort MkII Rally as being the main feature and he exclaimed “there is a company producing brand new Escort MkII rally cars!” followed by a video of the Tamiya car being put through it’s paces over gravel and dirt before moving on to the full size MST version.

The video is a great insight into the interesting new MST car, as the self confessed Tamiya fanatic Smith poured over the options and hop-ups available of the full size rally icon in his inevitable enthusiastic style.
One advantage the Tamiya version has over it’s full size half cousin is as an officially licensed product it can be called a Ford Escort MkII Rally, while the MST can’t and must be referred to only as a MkII Rally.
A series of videos will be appearing across Toyota and Tamiya UK’s social media platforms over the coming weeks.
