Military Vehicles
Many different types of vehicles are used in the military. Sometimes existing vehicles are modified and adapted to suit particular requirements or to solve issues they may face during service, while other vehicles are created from new to face a specific challenge. Half-tracked vehicles were common in the German army during World War II, while small and lightweight all-terrain cars are ideal for scouting purposes. Some trucks are adapted to work as military ambulances, while others are modified to work as multiple launch rocket systems. Armoured personnel carriers were designed to offer more safety for troops being transported, and infantry fighting vehicles to offer mechanised support to front-line soldiers.
