Tamiya Open Day
Wheelspin Models hosts a fun day of show cars, RC track and special offers

Saturday 20th April saw the leading hobby retailer, Wheelspin Models, host a Tamiya Open day at its shop, attracting hundreds of Tamiya RC fans.

The Cannock-based business enjoyed a day in the sun, welcoming visitors to a mixture of activities, including display cars and an RC circuit, where they could drive their own Tamiya cars or sample specially prepared TT-02 cars.

The track was a big hit, and there were prizes for the fastest laps for those who took part. The pit-stop challenge also proved popular, where visitors were challenged to change the wheels of a TT-02 against the clock.

A selection of show vehicles adorned the front of the large Wheelspin premises, including the Toyota Tamiya Hilux Bruiser and the Little Car Company Wild One Max, which seemed to be appreciated by those attending. There was even a Land Rover Pink Panther replica driven by its owner to the event, inspired by the Tamiya kit!

Meanwhile, in the shop, business was brisk with many Tamiya event-only offers. Wheelspin has a superb shop with built-up show models and large video screens playing Tamiya promo videos.

Wheelspin ran a Golden Ticket prize event. Anyone spending over £300 received a goodie bag, in which one included a golden ticket to win a Tamiya Top Force EVO.
