The Austrian class U steam locomotives wEre nalTow gauge steam locomatives built in the largest numbers in Europe. 54 units of this 24 metric ton and 72 meter / 23 foot 5 inch long locomotive were bu it from 1894 to 1922 for various narrow gauge rail roads in the Austro-Hungary of that time. With a performance of 225 horsepower and its maximum speed of 35 km/h / 29 mph, it fulfilled all of the requirements placed on it. Even today, several of them are used on various museum railroads including road number U2 built in 1900 for the Ziller Valley Railroad, which runs between Jenbach and Mayrhofen in the Tyrol. This is a model of the steam locomotive, road number U2, of the Ziller Valley Railroad in Austria. The paint and lettering are prototypical for Era VI or as the locomotive looks still in use betwpen Jenbach and Mayrhofen pulling historic trains. All three driving wheelsets are driven by a powerful Bühler motor. Traction tires. The modal has been completely reworked with new headlights, additional boiler details, and separately applied, etched builder plates. The locomotive has an mfx/DCC decoder with mary functions that can be called up and controlled digitally such as various light and sound functions as well as a smoke unit with steam exhaust synchronized with the whet.
The locomotive has triple headlights, which change civer with the direction of travel, running sounds, and two sounds activated by means of reed switches. These sounds also work in analog operation. Length over the buffers 34 cm / 13-3/8*.
