Hobby Co returns to IPMS Show at Telford
Tamiya F-35A & Italeri 1/12 Bugatti Previewed
The Halls of the International Centre at Telford were bustling with modelling enthusiasts at this premier event in the UK

While less traders were in evidence, there was the usual passionate support from Modelling Clubs and IPMS societies from around the country and a staggering level of creativity and modelling expertise was on display to the thousands of visitors who moved through the 3 huge halls over the 2 day show.
Three hot new items from Tamiya were the talk of the show and attracted a great deal of attention on the booth.

The new 1/12 Ducati SUPERLEGGERA V4 showed Tamiya’s unswerving focus on precision and accuracy.

Alongside this the 1/35 A34 Comet Cruiser Tank display seemed to fire modellers enthusiasm to reach for their pockets – with traders reporting every piece was sold out by mid way through day 2 of the show.
Tamiya’s latest state of the art kits are a joy to build and Jonathan Mock was on hand to give a build demo using the Comet as his chosen subject and was available to discuss modelling techniques and answer technical questions from the thousands of model fans in attendance.
But the real show highlight was the new 1/48 F-35A from Tamiya. This quite frankly sets new standards for the modelling Industry and was justifiably attracting a huge amount of interest and excitement.
Italeri used the occasion to preview for the first time to the World their latest 1/12 scale all new Bugatti TYPE 35B.

This also attracted a huge amount of attention and interest and it seems will be eagerly sought after by many modellers looking for a Happy Christmas !

Italeri’s version of the 1/48 UK Lightning Force F-35B was also on display and the built model confirmed that this is a very desirable subject for UK Aircraft Modellers
Latest releases from Dragon were also featured – all containing Magic Tracks and etch parts as well as some of the latest rally Car releases from the Belkits collection of 1/24 kits.
