Stoneman Looking to Turn Up the Heat

Dean Stoneman has vowed to up the pressure on his main rival in the final two rounds of the season, as the young Briton looks to overhaul Jolyon Palmer and clinch the 2010 FIA Formula Two Championship.

Stoneman, who carries the famous two star Tamiya logo on his race car, is just four points behind his British rival going into Germany this weekend, while Philipp Eng's retirement in the last race at Brno means he is realistically guaranteed second at worst.

"I'm guaranteed second in the Championship, so I'm just going to race as well as I possibly can to finish in front of Jolyon and win the championship," Dean declared.

"I'm going to be more focussed than ever in the last two rounds, and I'm going to go out there and do what I can in order to clinch the title. My aim is two victories, but I don't really care who wins the races as long as I finish ahead of Palmer!"

Despite having never been to Brno before, Dean was in outstanding form in the Czech Republic - temporarily wresting the overall lead from Jolyon Palmer after race one, only for his rival to recapture top spot with victory in race two.
