Carrera Named Best Buy in Auto Express Test

Carrera achieved the prestigious Auto Express Best Buy award in this year’s Slot racing set review; released in the run up to Christmas.

The award was given to the Digital 132 GT Racers set (CA 30132) in a test which featured 12 of the leading slot sets on sale in the UK.

GT Racers, which features 9 metres of track, plus BMW and Porsche GT cars, won the Digital category and impressed the judges with its features such as working LED lights, play value, quality and price. They particularly liked the Carrera Wireless Control system describing it as “superb.”

The Slot racing Set test was split into three categories. Digital, Analogue and Small scale. Out of the twelve sets tested four Carrera sets were selected for review; more than any other manufacturer featured.

As well as winning the Digital award, Carrera also figured strongly in the other categories too. In analogue, Carrera’s Formula One Evolution set was named runner up and in the small Scale sector, the new Go!!! Spider Man Set finished a close second.
