Tamiya Supports Rising Star
British F2 Driver Dean
Stoneman carried a familiar logo on his race car at the latest round of the FIA
Formula Two championship round at Brno last weekend.
The Rising star who is
currently standing second in the feeder series to F1, ran with the famous two
star logo of Tamiya on the nose and the side of the airbox of his Williams
JPH1B in an arrangement which is hoped to run until the end of the 2010 season.
Stoneman 19 from Southampton
set the pace all weekend in the Czech Republic, posting pole position times for
both Saturday and Sundays race as he closed in on the Championship title
race. This was particularly impressive
as unlike his main rivals, Stoneman had not raced or even tested at the
demanding Brno Circuit prior to last weekend.

In two hard fought races
Stoneman finished impressively in second place in both and briefly lead the
championship over night on Saturday.
The results now leaves him just four points behind Palmer, with the pair
holding a ninety five point lead over the third placed driver Enge. See more race info at www.formula-two.com

reports and galleries.

Dean Stoneman of course joins
a list of famous drivers and teams to have an involvement with Tamiya. These include drivers Jody Scheckter, Mikka
Hakkinen and Jonny Herbert and teams like Lotus, Tyrell and Wolf. Let’s see if Tamiya will be the lucky stars
for Dean too, Let’s hope so.
