MotoGP World
Champion Visits Tamiya
The 2010 MotoGP
World Champion Jorge Lorenzo paid a visit to Tamiya earlier this month whilst
in Japan for the Japanese MotoGP race at Twin Ring in Motegi.
Fiat Yamaha team
rider Lorenzo took time out to visit
the Shinbashi Tamiya Pla-Model Factory where he was presented with a model of
the recently released 1/12
Yamaha YZR-M1 '09 Fiat Yamaha Team, the 2009 World Championship winning
MotoGP machine.

The 23 year old Spanish team mate to Valentino
Rossi has become highly popular for his aggressive riding style and stole the
limelight whilst the Italian recovered from a broken leg. His riding style and
his enthusiastic victory celebrations; such as his famous swim in a lake at
Jerez while still wearing his boots, helmet and leathers, has attracted much
attention worldwide - much in the same way Rossi has done during his dominance
of the sport.
For Lorenzo, the YZR-M1
'09 model holds many great memories such as the dramatic Catalan GP race, where
he battled Valentino Rossi for an exciting 2nd place finish, as well as winning
overall second in the Riders' Championship. This year the Spaniard went one better when he secured the world
title.
This superb
bike is available now in the UK. You
can choose to recreate either Jorge Lorenzo's #99 or Valentino Rossi's #46
machines. Of course having models of
both machines side by side makes the ultimate display item for any MotoGP fan.
